Store Policies
Custom Orders: Madoka Modern routinely accepts orders for custom made product. Due to the custom nature of the product we offer, combined with our extremely low profit margins, we can allow no room for error. For this reason, Madoka Modern collects full payment of order in advance, and prior to sending the order the manufacturing department.
Pre Orders: From time to time Madoka Modern will be depleted of inventory on certain SKU's. This is the nature of the beast when providing high demand product at very low prices.
In order to ensure availability of a desired piece of furniture, we ask that you pay for this product in advance. You may cancel your order for a full 100% refund at any time prior to delivery.
Cancellation Policy: Madoka Modern will fully refund any and all payments made if product is not delivered after 90 days without a restocking fee for custom ordered product.
Madoka Modern will apply a 25% restocking fee if order is cancelled before 90 days. The remaining 75% will be refunded, no questions asked.
A full 100% refund will be given for any pre-ordered product prior to delivery, at any time, no questions asked.
Shipping Policy and Charges: All shipping/freight charges are billed seperately, at the time of shipping. This enables us to search to find the best rates at any given time as we work with a network of trucking and home delivery companies. By allowing us the flexibility to search for last minute "routes", we can always find a better deal than a major carrier. All items shown in our online catalog do not include shipping in the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Your address must be accessible to semi-trailer trucks for non-UPS shipments. Most indoor and outdoor furniture items (excluding accessories) include loading dock/tailgate delivery only and address must be accessible to a full-size semi trailer. Freight companies are not required to transport freight off their trucks and into buildings or homes. Inside delivery, residential delivery, re-delivery, storage charges for shipments that a customer is not ready to accept, etc. are extra for truck shipments. Please contact us for a quotation. UPS, FedEx, and freight companies do not deliver on weekends or evenings. Residential customers: You must be home to sign for truck shipments. If you are unable to be home the day of delivery, then pick-up at the carrier's local terminal may be necessary. Appointment deliveries or time window deliveries are usually not available. Some UPS/FedEx shipments are partially disassembled to reach carrier carton size limits. Please note that, like any retailer or distributor shipping nationwide, Madoka Modern ships via national and regional parcel, freight and moving companies. Madoka Modern will not accept returns or cancellations due to delays in delivery by transportation companies. Although we use the largest and most well-known carriers, we are not responsible for delays in transit, freight company employee conduct, missed delivery appointments or damages to the customer's premises. Cancellations after shipment are not accepted. Please be sure to note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before signing for a shipment. Remember, title of goods passes to the purchaser when a shipment is accepted for transportation by the carrier. When you sign for a shipment, you are indicating that all cartons shown on the receipt are present and in good condition. If this is not true, be sure to note the discrepancy and have the driver initial it. For large items or items shipped assembled, open all cartons immediately while the driver is present. Do not discard the cartons until you know the contents are in good condition. Please report the damage to us immediately if the item is an assembled piece or if the damage involves a part that can't be replaced. We are unable to provide large parts or replacement free of charge if the damage has not been noted by you or the driver on the delivery receipt at the time of the delivery.
Warranty: Madoka Modern offers an "out-of-the-box" warranty. This means that the product is in good condition upon receipt of goods. Warranty claims must be made within 24 hours of product receipt.
In certain cases customers may be required to supply information regarding the reason for the return and may also be required to submit photos showing any product damage or defects for which a return or exchange is being requested.
Any warranty claim after 24 hours is subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Customer is responsible for paying freight charges from and to Madoka Modern for all refunds or warranty claims. These charges are non-refundable. Please email service@madokamodern.com to request a Return Authorization Number (RA#). Refund will not be given for freight or delivery charges under any circumstances. Please make sure product fits inside your home and that you are available at the scheduled delivery window. Customer is responsible for re-delivery charges as well due to missed delivery appointments.
Guarantee: We recognize that buying furniture online can sound like a risky transaction, especially when dealing with comfort items like sofas. For this reason we provide a full money back guarantee for 24 hours after your product has been picked up or delivered to your home.
Our curbside delivery service will allow you to touch and feel the product as soon as it is unloaded from the truck. If for any reason you are not happy with the product, you can let our delivery person know and they will load it back up. We will issue you a full credit, no questions asked!
Our White Glove delivery service goes one step further and will allow for you to set up the product in your home. In the case of a sofa or chair, you will be able to sit on the product to determine if it is right for your taste. Again, if you are not happy with the product for any reason, you can send it back for a full refund.
This is our way of minimizing your risk of purchasing online. The delivery fee is non-refundable, so some risk still remains. Please ask us questions, request more photos (we will gladly supply these to you if we have them), and use the measurements supplied to you to layout the product in your home.
Privacy Policy: Madoka Modern is committed to protecting your privacy. We will not sell or disclose any information that identifies you to a third party without your prior approval. We may use the information we collect to periodically notify you about new services or special offers we think you'll find valuable.
